Maigue river is situated rising south of Bruree and flows north through Croom and Adare into the Shannon Estuary.

Description:

 

Catch:Salmon & Brown Trout.

This is a limestone river with the banks of it being rather high in places. Good stocks of trout are contained in this river with the average size being between 0.5 lbs up to 3 lbs, you will also catch the occasional Salmon.

Season:

Brown trout fishing is during February 15th - September 30th. Salmon are in season between February 1st - September 30th.

Methods:

Fly and spinning.
