River Kells Blackwater

The Kells Blackwater can be found near the town of Kells and is one of the major tributaries of the Boyne, joining it at Navan.

Description:
Catch:Salmon and Brown Trout.

A medium sized river which holds stocks of small spring Salmon between Kells and Navan. There is a good stock of Brown trout downstream from Lough Ramor all the way to the Boyne. The banks are very high. The fishing is mostly privately owned.

Season:

01st March - end September.

Methods:

Fly and spoon.
