Some of the best Mullet fishing is done here in the tidal harbour at Balbriggan. The Mullet move with the tide therefore the most productive time to catch them is two hours either side of high water. The best bait to use is pieces of fish and should be used for freelining or float fishing. Fishing over the sand at the back of the pier during daylight is for Flounder, while night fishing in the autumn produces Whiting.
