The Garvoge river is draining Lough Gill and meets the sea right at the town of Sligo.

This river is about 3.5 miles long and produces some Spring salmon and Grilse in June and July. The fishing for the Salmon, Sea trout and Brown trout take place near the Silver Swan Hotel up to Bective, with the best of the Sea trout fishing done at Victoria Bridge.
Season:

Salmon and Sea trout fishing is usually done from January 1st - September 30th, while Brown trout are taken between February 15th - September 30th.
Methods:

Fly fishing, spinning and worming.
Cost: Enquiries can be made in the Fishing Tackle Shop in Sligo.
