The river Derg has been described as one of the best salmon fishing areas in Ireland, with good stocks of Sea trout and Brown trout taken from July onwards.

Season:

The Salmon and Sea trout are caught between February 1st - September 30th, whereas Brown trout are taken between March 1st - September 30th.
