The Lakes of Acoose, Cloon and Reagh are all located on the Caragh river system north-west of Kenmare town and near Dingle Bay.

Description:
Catch:Salmon, Brown Trout & Sea Trout.

Flowing 2 miles to the sea, Caragh is a spate fishery. Good runs of Spring salmon and Grilse are caught, with the lower part of it for catching Sea trout. The Spring salmon run in February, March and April, while the Grilse begin running at the end of May. The Sea trout can be taken from mid August.

Season:

Salmon fishing is between January 17th - September 30th, Brown trout are caught from February 15th - October 12th, while Sea trout are taken between January 17th - October 12th.

Methods:

Fly and spinning. No shrimp or prawn.
