| Description: |
The Erriff fishery opens on the 1st April with the best of the Spring salmon being caught during May. The Grilse fishing begins in early June. Fly fishing is the usual method used but spinning, worming and the shrimp are allowed for a short time each day. Sea trout are also present in this river. The Tawnyard Lough contains Salmon and Sea trout during July to October. The Derrintin Lake is small and has Brown trout averaging around 1 lb, while the Glenawough Lake has fishing for small Brown trout. |
