Currane is a large Sea trout fishery which also produces a good number of Spring salmon and Grilse every season. Fishing here is regarded as free, with numerous private access points also there. Sea trout arrive in April, but the best time is in mid June. The Spring salmon fishing starts on January 17th, but the most productive time to catch them would be in late March to April. Grilse angling is at its peak in June.

Season:

Salmon fishing is between January 17th - September 30th, while Sea trout are taken between February 15th - September 30th.

Usually fly and spin.
