Lake Carrowmore

The Carrowmore Lake is situated 2 miles north west of the town of Bangor.

Description:
Catch:Salmon & Sea Trout.

This stretch is 4 miles in length and almost 3 miles wide and contains Spring salmon and Sea trout which appear from late June. Stocks of Brown trout are also present in this lake. Bank fishing is not permitted. The water is shallow and boats should take care in avoiding rocks.

Season:

Salmon and Sea trout fishing is done during February 1st - September 30th.

Methods:

Usually fly fishing, but spinning can be done up to March 31st. Trawling is not permitted at any time.
