Killimer is located south-east of the village of Kilrush and has a ferry crossing to Tarbet on the shoreline of the Mouth of the Shannon.

Catch:Bull Huss, Ray, Conger & Dogfish.

Fishing is done from the beach on the left hand side of the ferry terminal. Bottom fishing is for Bull Huss, Ray, Conger and Dogfish.

Season:

All year around, although the best time of year is between May to September.

Methods:

Spinning and bottom fishing with Mackerel strips.

Cost: No cost for off-shore fishing. Boat charter varies between 200 Euro - 300 Euro per boat, suitable for 4-8 people.
