Clones Strand is situated near Kilmichael Point, south of the town of Arklow on the coast line and has become a popular place for competitions each year among anglers.

Catch:

Codling, Bass, Flounder, Tope, Smooth Hound & Ray.

Boat fishing is carried out from May to September with shore angling taking place for most of the year. Beach fishing is for Codling, Bass and Flounder, especially after easterly winds. Smooth Hound, Tope and Ray have been caught also in the summer months.

Season:

All year around, although the months of May to September are best.

Methods:

Spinning and Bottom fishing with Mackerel strips.

Cost:

Boat charter varies between 200 Euro - 300 Euro per boat, suitable for 4-8 people.
